Free Comics Day at Hometown Comics

Hometown Comics in Edwardsville holds its fourth annual free comics day event this Saturday, May 1st at 10 am. Besides the free comics, the first 50 people in line get a $5 coupon to spend in the store plus some fun extras. There’s also a chance to win a 2009 Scooter. A Habitat For Humanity representative will be there to raffle the scooter for this charitable organization. No more than 500 tickets will be sold.

On top of all that, artist and writer Jeff Weigel will be signing copies of the New York Times best selling “It’s Beginning To Look A Lot Like Zombies” as well as his “Atomic Ace” series of books. Finally, feel free to dress up as your favorite comic book character for this event.
