So today’s the birthday of Edwardsville’s favorite citizen, Preach. We almost forgot, until a member of his family let us know. If you don’t know him, there’s a bio below we got of his FaceBook fan page.

Marvin “Preach” Webb (born January 12, 1936) has been a public fixture and good-will ambassador of downtown Edwardsville, Illinois, for over 40 years. Preach can be seen strolling downtown Edwardsville on Main Street, greeting and talking with others, always on foot and with a distinguished carnation on the lapel of his suit coat.
