Maya Angelou at SIUE

Maya Angelou, poet, activist, literary figure and St. Louis native, discusses her life and her work as part of SIUE’s Arts and Issues series. Angelou is perhaps best known for And Still I Rise (which she recites in the above video) and I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings. See her Sunday, October 4 at 2 pm in the Meridian Ballroom, Morris University Ctr. at SIUE. Admission is $13 to $27.
