SIUE’s production of The Lady Cries Murder brings booze, beautiful women and gumshoes to the Edwardsville theatre scene. John William See’s 1950 play is a burlesque version of Raymond Chandler detective plots and a comical, parody within a parody, of the popular detective fiction genre.
The Lady Cries Murder will be performed at SIUE’s Dunham Hall Theatre.
The play will be performed June 23-26 at 7:30 pm, June 26 and 27 at 2 pm.
Ticket prices: Adults $15, Non-SIUE students, Seniors (+65), Faculty and staff: $12, SIUE students registered for summer classes are Free with valid I.D.
