Great Godfrey Maze

Looking for family fun for the Halloween season? The Great Godfrey Maze has two maze trails cut into 7-acres of corn in Glazebrook Park. Visitors from all over can enjoy getting lost in the maze’s twisting turns, dead-end and traps. The maze is open on the weekends in the fall for general admission. Tickets will be available for purchase until one half hour before closing. Click here for more info.

Halloween Skate/Dance Party at YMCA Edwardsville

There will be a halloween skate and dance party at YMCA Edwardsville on October 29 from 6 pm

The Skate section of the night will run from 6-10pm and then will be followed by the dance part from 10-11pm. (Dance is $1 extra)

There will be food and drink, games and special prizes on the night.

Come in costume although the YMCA reminds us to keep it appropriate for a family event.

Trunk Or Treat and Chili Supper at St John’s Methodist Church

There will be a trunk and treat from 3-5 pm and chili supper from 4-6 at St. John’s Methodist Church on October 24.

Trunk or treat is a family event where kids will trick-or-treat from car to car in a supervised setting. There will be more fun inside with various free games, crafts, and not forgetting the chili supper.

NWA Dynamo Pro Wrestling in Glen Carbon

Glen Carbon’s Sports Academy plays host to a NWA Dynamo Pro Wrestling event on Saturday, May 22. The main show will be the NWA Missouri championship match. Doors open at 6pm while the main event starts at 8pm. Tickets: (Adults) $8 in advance , $10 Day of Show, (Children) 5-12 years $5, under 5s Free. Open House at Yanda Log Cabin in Glen Carbon

Come celebrate an open house at the 1853 Yanda Log Cabin on Main Street in Old Town Glen Carbon with apple butter and apple cider demonstrations. The event goes from 10 to 2 pm on October 10, and is sponsored by Glen Carbon Historical & Museum Commission.

Lighting the Trails Special Olympics Fundraiser

Take a lighted night time bike ride in Glen Carbon, have a great time, and help raise money for the Special Olympics on Friday, October 9, with the Lighting the Trails for Special Olympics Family Lighted Bike Ride. There will be food, fun attendance prizes and prizes for best illuminated bike decorations by age group. Registration is from 6-7:30pm at the Madison County Transit Park & Ride (see map below). Judging starts 6:45 pm. Cyclists can choose from three rides, the 5 Mile Night Crawler, the 12 Mile Night Challeng Ride, and the 22 Mile Ride (ride the night challenge 2 times). The bike trail will be illuminated by the Village of Glen Carbon and property owners on the trail.

Prizes awarded for: Best Overall Decorations / Loudest Cheering Section / Brightest Lighting/ Biggest Camp Site

Preregister before October 2 for $17, $12 for kids under 12 and receive a free T-shirt. After October 2, prices are are $20, $15 for kids under 12.
